To be an HCAOA member, you must certify that the organization provides the following services to your clients:
Creates a plan of care, service plan or care plan for each client
Conducts a criminal background check and checks for references for each direct care staff
Maintains 24/7 on-call accessibility to a staff member for after hours emergencies
Performs periodic supervisory visits for each client
Maintains Workers' Compensation coverage and carries professional liability insurance as required by law
Voting Membership: $595
Voting members shall have voting rights and can hold office or serve as an Officer or Director of the Association. They may also chair any standing committees. You must be an active Voting member in good standing before you can add your additional locations.
Additional Location Membership: $195
Additional location membership is offered only to current "Full Voting" members who wish to add another location to receive HCAOA membership benefits. Each additional location MUST be under management/ownership control of a current voting member. If you are a franchise owner, you will need to be registered as your own full voting membership, and do not fall under the umbrella of Corporate Membership.
Associate Membership
Basic: $800
A business that supplies goods and/or services to private duty home care agencies or their patients, but does NOT supply in-home personnel. Associate Members shall not have voting rights but can hold office or serve as an Officer or Director of the Association. They may also chair any standing committee of the Association.
Premium: $1,200

All Associate Membership applications are subject to review by the HCAOA membership committee. Applications are processed weekly, and you should receive a membership packet and be listed on our website within 10-14 business days upon receipt of payment. If there are any questions concerning your application, you will be notified by a member of the HCAOA staff.
